This Privacy Policy explains what information GELATO (pshhpunk.com) collects, why we collect it, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. We keep things simple: we collect as little as we need to run the site and feature artists. By using GELATO you agree to this policy, together with our Terms of Service.
We only collect personal information when you choose to send it to us, for example through our Promote Your Music or Advertise With Us forms, or by emailing us. Depending on the form, this can include:
Please don't send us sensitive information such as passwords, payment card numbers or government ID.
Like most websites, the services that host and power GELATO receive basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you request. This is used to deliver the site, keep it secure and fix problems. GELATO does not currently run its own analytics or advertising trackers. If we add any in the future, we will update this policy first.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
We rely on trusted providers to run GELATO. They only handle information as needed to provide their service to us:
Songs, videos and posts on GELATO are often shown through embedded players from SoundCloud, Spotify, YouTube and Instagram, sometimes through Embedly. Our Community Posts area shows a Discord chat through WidgetBot. When these load or you interact with them, those companies may set their own cookies and collect information about you under their own privacy policies, especially if you are logged in to them. We don't control what they collect. You can limit this through your settings with those services or your browser.
Cookies are small files saved by your browser. GELATO itself doesn't use cookies to track you or show ads. Cookies may be set by the embedded services described above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but some embedded players or the chat may not work properly if you do.
We keep submissions and emails for as long as we need them to review, feature and promote work, handle any paid promotion, and keep reasonable records. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see section 10).
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold, and we use reputable providers. No website or online service can be completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
GELATO is not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the personal information you have sent us, or to stop using it to contact you. Email us and we will respond within a reasonable time, usually within 30 days.
If you live in California, you have rights under California privacy laws, including the right to know what personal information we have about you, to ask us to delete it, to correct it, and not to be treated differently for using these rights. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.
If you live in the European Economic Area or the UK, you also have rights under data protection law, including access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection and data portability, and you can complain to your local data protection authority. We use your information because you chose to send it to us and for our legitimate interest in running GELATO and featuring artists.
GELATO links to many other sites and apps, including artists' profiles and streaming services. Their privacy practices are their own, and we encourage you to read their policies.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. If the changes are significant, we will make that clear on the site.
